Health Insurance

We encourage all patients to learn about the cost of their healthcare prior to any planned visits to the hospital. For those with health insurance, please contact your insurance provider to find out what services are covered and co-payment and deductible amounts. Medicare and Medicaid patients should also check their plan's coverage.

If you do not currently have health insurance, please contact our Patient Access Representative at 251.460.5240. They can guide you, provide estimates for your bill, and design a plan to assist you with payment. Based on the information you provide, you may qualify for financial assistance.

Health Insurance Providers

As of January 2020, Springhill Medical Center participates in the following health insurance plans:

It is so important that you contact your insurance provider prior to receiving hospital care whenever possible. Each insurance plan may have different “out-of-pocket” costs. Some physicians who may provide care within our hospital may not participate in the same insurance networks as the hospital. Check with your physician who is arranging your hospital care to see which insurance plans the physician participates.

Hospital Charges

Springhill Medical Center is committed to patient care and pricing transparency. In compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements (FY 2019 IPPS/LTCH PPS Final Rule: CMS-1694-F and CMS-1694-CN2) for hospitals to post a list of their standard charges online in a machine-readable format, we have posted our prices in CSV format files for download.

Hospital Charges Documents

Hospital charges represent all itemized services provided and do not necessarily represent final pricing, which is based on your insurance company’s contract with the hospital. Your amount owed (“out-of-pocket” costs) will be a percentage portion of that adjusted, contracted price.
