Springhill Rehabilitation & Senior Residence (SSR) made the 2024 list of America’s Best Nursing Homes as ranked by Newsweek.
To support families as they consider their options, Newsweek partnered with respected global data research firm Statista to create its third annual ranking of America's Best Nursing Homes.
“We are honored to have received this recognition,” said SSR Administrator Lana Davis. “We feel like we go the extra mile every day for our clients, so accolades like this help acknowledge the exceptional care we deliver to our current and prospective clients.”
The rankings are based on five data sources, including performance data, peer recommendations, management of the COVID-19 situation, and accreditations from The Joint Commission and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. For the first time, resident satisfaction data for nursing homes, based on National Safety Goals from The Joint Commission and Google Scores, was added to the scoring model.
The skilled nursing facility ranked 16th in Alabama in the 150+ beds category and was the only Mobile/Baldwin facility to make the list. Springhill Rehabilitation and Senior Residence is a 151-bed, skilled nursing facility located on the Springhill Medical Center campus in Mobile. The Residence has been part of the Springhill corporate family for decades and provides quality short-term rehabilitation care and long-term care, while fostering a homelike social environment.
