What is a HIMSS EMRAM certification?

The Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) measures a healthcare provider's adoption of paperless Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Stage 7 is the highest level, and Springhill Medical Center is the only validated Stage 7 provider in the state of Alabama. We are proud to be recognized for our commitment to technology that supports patient care.

"The list of hospitals from across the US, China, Australia and Turkey that have reached Stage 7 designation is very impressive. Out of the 5,487 registered hospitals in the US, only 6.4 percent have achieved Stage 7. SMC, of course, is the only one in the state of Alabama. This is an incredibly difficult recognition to earn and our folks did it in exemplary fashion. Congratulations to the team for our Stage 7 achievement."
