Springhill Reaches Milestone for COVID-19 Vaccines
Springhill Medical Center reached the 5,000th milestone of COVID-19 vaccines given on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
Springhill Medical Center reached the 5,000th milestone of COVID-19 vaccines given on Wednesday, Jan. 27. In fact, the hospital’s total for combined first and second dose vaccines totaled 5,094 by the end of the day on Jan. 27.
“Today we crossed the 5,000 mark for total number of vaccines we’ve administered,” said Mr. Jeff St. Clair, Springhill Medical Center President/CEO. “We are on track to hit 7,500 around Feb. 9th and 10,000 around Feb. 19th. We continue to receive high praises from those seeking the vaccine here. Not a day goes by that physicians or patients don’t reach out to us through social media, text, e-mail or phone calls to offer compliments about their experience here. Setting up the clinic was completed quickly and efficiently for the benefit of the community and has been well run by a team of dedicated, experienced professionals.”
The hospital established its vaccine clinic in mid-December and has been offering appointments to hundreds of frontline healthcare workers at the hospital, as well as those from local and regional physician offices, ambulance services, first responders, clinics, and hundreds of residents age 75 and older.
