1st Place for "Vivian" (3-5 grades) by Vivian Ngo - O'Rourke ElementaryThis year’s 39th Annual Color By Kids Art Competition explored art submissions from grades K-12 in the local area. Springhill Medical Center and the SMH Auxiliary honor winners from Mobile County public and private schools, along with their art teachers and school faculty, during a formal reception at the Mobile Museum of Art.

The organization worked with three accomplished local artists who judged the 150+ art entries in the four grade categories. All winners received certificates, gift cards for art supplies, and checks for their individual schools to support their art programs. The first-place winners in each category also received plaques for their schools to display in trophy cases.

The Color By Kids Art Competition serves dual purposes. It promotes children’s art in Mobile County and supports the hospital’s mission to be the best community-centered health care provider in the area.

Winning artwork has been professionally framed and is on exhibit this summer at the Mobile Museum of Art.  It travels to the Exploreum after that to be displayed there througColor By Kids 2nd place winner (6-8 grades) for "Under da Sea" Marley Conner - Barton Academyh May 2026.
